I am going to vote for the 22nd. Most likely I am out for November. There is mas Bambi killing to be done, and road trips to be had.

I can't do the 15th. So far, the 22nd, 29th, and 5th look fine. Since people are likely busy on the 29th, so far it sounds like the 22nd? Quote: Most likely I am out for November. I am open for any of those days as of right now. The 22nd sounds lovely.

Don't be bitter! The Huzzah Holiday is important. Typically it lasts seven days and seven nights.

It's really hard to pick a single 2nd level spell. I'm excited, but I can't find a spell that really speaks to me. I'm actually thinking of Glitterdust. In the very least, it has a reasonable chance of blinding a bunch of people.
I still maintain that Ghoul Touch is a poorly written spell.

I still maintain that Ghoul Touch is a poorly written spell. Remember that I do have Glitterdust (and usually have it memorized once, at least these days), plus we could buy you some scrolls. I suppose the alternative is for me to stop memorizing Glitterdust and pick something else instead. I agree about Ghoul Touch, if John is going to enforce it like he says he will. For a second level melee touch spell to also have an all-or-nothing save is quite dumb.

For a second level melee touch spell to also have an all-or-nothing save is quite dumb. I'm sure he's right about how it's supposed to be, I just think it's poorly written. There are multiple parts to the save, and most spells are pretty clear about what does what. Also, a melee touch attach is no small feat. Usually that means a wizard or sorcerer is about to die. It would be quite strong for a 2nd level spell, but I consider the fortitude save to make it quite weak. I assume you will likely have whatever spell I pick. I just need to figure out what makes the most sense for me. I think I really want a good ray spell or something else without a save, but there aren't too many of those. 1d4+1 intelligence damage is the best I could find.

For an example of a no-save melee touch effect, check out the excellent http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/irresistibleDance.htmIt is, of course, 8th level, and the effect is not as good as a paralyze, nor does it last as long as ghoul touch. Note that this is one of the strongest spells in the game, and has been whined about for over a decade online! Sorry about no update- my mom is in town and has been all week, and she bought a house about 20 minutes north of here, so I've been pretty damned busy!

I understand, and I'm not arguing that you should change it. I'm just pointing out that a rational reading of the spell does not clearly convey the results of Fortitude saves. Pretty much every other spell that has 2 saves indicates what goes where.
I'm still considering ghoul touch, blindness, glitterdust, and ray of stupid.
Yeah, with her in town I've been too busy to make fun of you for not making an update. That woman is very spry.
So she bought a house, huh? Wow. Please teach her about things like snow tires.

Do we get a recap a bit earlier than the one we got last time? My character was in a bit of a pickle when he was questioned about his intentions for entering Emerald, because I wasn't able to read the recap prior to showing up.

I'm fairly confident we killed some ogres and a demon (or a devil), and we dropped an assassin who couldn't be killed without concern for the plot. Oh, and there was a door. That about sums up my recollection. Oh! And we should be leveling.

Since tonight is raid night, I'm guessing the silence means the answer is "no."

Plans for dinner? Shall I bring cash, or are we going to try to concoct something again?

So I managed to catch the flu. I will be sure to have my character levelled, and will find a way to get my stuff to Sweets just in case I still feel like pounded dog crap tomorrow.

Well, then I'm good. We can cuddle.
I have a hunch Cooley didn't get a flu shot this year, though.
