Sure, and maybe Jay will tip the scale in your favor, but in a couple years I think we'll add your own poor decision making skills and update accordingly. Oh, BTW, http://www.cnn.com/2011/LIVING/05/23/do ... tml?hpt=C2The best line is in the third paragraph from the bottom.

That's a great article, although it's not surprising at all. I've said it before - if the woman I married didn't want kids, I'd happily go along. What did the article say, we spend over $200k raising kids? Holy jeebus. That's a lot of hooker and blow - i.e., money that could've been spent on ME.

The race is the 9th and 10th. How would Lemons cause a problem after the race?
Leadfoot rally and Chump cars... well, those are different.
And I guess the $200k is an average. What I know to know is what is the bare minimum allowed by law?

Children are more a long term thing, benefit wise. Many women are biologically into the idea of a precious baby to take care of- the desire to have a child is certainly more represented in women than men. I've always thought that kids are interesting and fun, but once you get an actual person to talk to out of it, that's when you actually benefit from the deal, and naturally that takes a long time.
Another problem is that childhood is artificially inflated. Part of this reason is economic, and part is I guess cultural. Four hundred years ago, childhood was over like 10 years before it is now. In the last few decades, it's been even longer, as many return home after college or just never leave, and continue the same parent / child relationship into their midtwenties. This puts a much larger burden on those who choose to have children, as the children have a much higher chance of being essentially economic invalids until you are nearly retired.
These issues are mostly weighed subconsciously, and mostly by more intelligent people, so, well, everyone knows where that leads on average.
I'm fairly certain that people with children are, long term, very happy with their choice. Asking a woman in her 20-30s what her friends with 0-15 year olds are suffering through is pretty bogus. Ask a 60 year old whether they appreciate their 25-45 year old, and I suspect you'll get a different damned answer.

So in any event, do we have any vetoes for June 4th?

I can do the 4th, but would rather we meet on the 11th.

For me, either would work, but the 11th would be much better.

OK so heres the deal. I could game on the 11th or I can be in the front row and back stage at a Third Eye Blind concert playing photographer. So is there anyway we could do the 4th? Normally I wouldnt ask but this is an amazing opportunity and it might lead to bigger and better things.

Thanks Jon. Even better for me personally I am shooting the show Sunday night as well which happens to be one of my favorite artists ever, Steven Page formerly of Barenaked Ladies. I get full access to everywhere for both shows and get to possibly meet the acts. I am pretty stoked about the whole thing. Its all happening at the Taste of Ft Collins if anyone is interested in attending.

As luck would have it, I will coaching a game... in Aurora... and it starts at 2pm. (where the fuck is my unamused smiley, Mark?!?) In short, I am going to be there a bit later than 330. It will be more like 5 or so. PARtykins, will you play my character for a bit?

Roxie is feeling a bit whiny today, so she may not be attending.
I should still be there though.

I recall late July being discussed. Where the 23rd and the 30th still up for discussion? Or were we into August?

I'm fine with any of them. I think there's going to be a new Yevil today, so you might want to rule out the 23rd for now. Eventually someone will ask the old man if the 30th will work, but I wouldn't expect him to check in anytime soon.

What exactly is going on again? I remember something about a really fun weapon and a really badass chick that used the fun weapon. After that... are we starting a new campaign or something? I haven't seen any updates to refesh my failing memory...

It looks like July 30th has been the selected date for Lemons or something? Count me in I guess.

I'm good for the 30th. It's 2 days before my anniversary, but my loving wife apparently is more loving than I thought.
