Bumping a sticky indeed.
Um... Well, the 29th I should be free. That is the topic right?
I got extended at work until mid January, btw. I will have a trip in December that will actually block out one of those weekends- likely the 7th.

Assuming we do not have some kind of extreme Thanksgiving thingy, I can probably make the 16th. The rest of November is dominated by the continent known as Texas!

Sorry, hadn't checked in for a bit. I can't do the 16th (November) at all. Also I think the December date has gone from "can't do the 7th" to "can't do the 14th.

December is pretty full for me as well, I am out for the 14th and 21st. One weekend I will be at our trade show in beautiful downtown Indianapolis (jealous I know) and the following Saturday I am leaving to spend Christmas in New Orleans or Nawlins I guess is how you are supposed to say it.

I call it "Why is this still a city?" Let's do this... Sadly, I think we have to play without Jay. I wouldn't mind playing without John this coming Saturday, but I'm guessing we wouldn't know what to do without all the dragons. So let's do Friday, Nov 29th. That's always a weird day anyway.

So uh... wow. I should probably make a character sheet since everything is on the iPad. Obviously the iPad is coming to Texas.

I'm not trying to be a dick, but I don't see any weekend where everyone is available until January.

Well, there's a spare ipad sitting around if the data can transfer. My money is that it can't transfer, but if it can, well... there is one.

Both of them use fort saves, and you can only apply the effects of one critical feat. You already have staggering critical, which is the prereq for stunning.
I consider a guaranteed 1d4 rounds of stagger to be much more useful than halving movement, and the game does too- look at the prereq base attack for all of them. A staggered opponent who moves at all is done for the round, so the fact that he can move at full speed only matters rarely. A staggered opponent can't full attack. Since the fort DCs are the same, would you rather have a 1d4 round stunned guy, or a dude who is half movement for 6 rounds? And as you point out, the fort save isn't that scary, so assume they pass- would you rather have an opponent who moves at 15 or so for one round, or a guy who is staggered for 1d4 rounds?

I was under the impression Crippling Critical is a class thing and not a feat. Am I not understanding something?

Fellas, We can discuss this at the next gaming session, maybe, while Jay is away? And help Alenka choose the best feat for her, whether it's a bonus feat or a standard feat? Or, we can just blow the feat on Improved Hair Twirling. Helps the Charisma score. Lowers Intelligence, though.

The Yeti wrote: I was under the impression Crippling Critical is a class thing and not a feat. Am I not understanding something? Ha! No, you're totally right. Duelist Crippling Critical: http://paizo.com/prd/prestigeClasses/duelist.html"Crippling Critical (Ex): When you confirm a critical hit using a light or one-handed piercing weapon, you can apply one of the following penalties in addition to the damage dealt: reduce all of the target's speeds by 10 feet (minimum 5 feet), 1d4 points of Strength or Dexterity damage, –4 penalty on all saving throws, –4 penalty to Armor Class, or 2d6 points of bleed damage. These penalties last for 1 minute, except for ability damage, which must be healed normally, and bleed damage, which continues until the target receives magic healing or a DC 15 Heal skill check."This DOES stack with your existing Staggering Critical feat. I thought you had mentioned that you TOOK this feat: http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/adva ... g-criticalCrippling Critical (Combat) You are able to maim a target and hinder its movement. Prerequisites: Critical Focus, base attack bonus +13. Benefit: Whenever you score a critical hit against an opponent, its speed is halved for 1 minute. A successful Fortitude save reduces this duration to 1d4 rounds. The DC of this save is equal to 10 + your base attack bonus. Against creatures with multiple types of movement, you must choose which movement type to affect. A flying creature hit by this attack must make a DC 10 Fly check to remain airborne, and has its maneuverability reduced by one step. Special: You can only apply the effects of one critical feat to a given critical hit unless you possess Critical Mastery. To which my opinion was, take this other feat instead. Sorry. You're correct, I just didn't realize it was a class ability, not a feat. Nor do I know why they have the exact same name.

So I think a few of us have already ruled out everything until Christmas including multiple absences for most days. The best hope was...
Saturday, December 28th.
Does that work for everyone?

That works for me. Also, I'm off from December 24-January 1. I don't think all others here have that same awesomeness, but I'd throw out Friday or Sunday as well as possibilities.
