I'm a little torn on this. Wife won't be here, but dogs will. This can make a small child a bit of a problem, particularly with what I am assuming is a "Michelle will pick her up whenever she wants" situation.

This plan cannot fail. Although we'll need to coach her a little more for my ubershieldhorsen idea, where we basically surround ourselves in horses (sides and top for sure, possibly bottom as well to protect against burrowing attackers) for maximum AC bonus.

I think that given the amount of work I have to do for the next bit (yes, I know I put it off... I work to deadlines), combined with my actual job business this week and the potential issues of dogs and a small girl, we should wait until Jan 31. I am eager to game, and I hope some of you are, but I think it'll be better if we wait.

Hopefully I can get a few sessions' worth generated.

FWIW, there is a chance that Michelle will be back before we start even if we start at 3:00 pm.

But if the extra time is better for you Mark, that works for me.

You guys want to do something on Saturday any way? Guys night out? Video-games and beer?

Maybe. I might have volunteered to drive some drummers places. I won't know for a bit.

...because drummers are incapable of driving themselves to said places? Is there some sort of inherent quality of drumming that renders drummers incapable of driving?

I was about to embark on an explanation of the events at hand, but I realized I could not possibly convey all the nuances. Let's say that female drummers wish do so something social, and they need some help with logistics.

PS. I do have to work on the 31st, so I will not be to your place until about 6:00.

You all are free to start without me though.

You're killing me. Like, seriously fucking killing me. See, what you meant to say several days ago was "I am slightly free on the 31st, and more free on the 17th." This would have changed things, but it's too late now since I couldn't possibly get ready now.

In other news, I really wish I could draw. I can describe a town, keep, grove, or something, but it's really frustrating to not be able to make a sketch at all. I can draw 30ft walls with crenelations on graph paper, but it has no soul. I know a certain Puddin would argue something like everyone is an artist, but I would argue that the artistic bar is raised once the primary recipient of our work is no longer our mothers.

Sigh.

I would love to say "just go ahead and do it, your vision, even through your lack of training, is better than nothing". But then I remember about twenty years of "that map looks like a vagina", so, I'm going to have to go with, trust your instincts on this one.

I think what you mean is you wish you could do illustration better. Art is subjective and has nothing to do with the ability to draw. I am not sure someone like Jackson Pollock could draw his way out of a wet paper bag but his paintings sell for millions. So Puddin would be right that everyone can be an artist. Some just gain more public following. :ugeek:

Sure, but unless you're assaulting the Keep of Yellow and Red Streaky Bits that rests high on the hill of Beige and Tan Streaky Bits, then I'm not sure this helps me.

We'll count ourselves lucky that we made it home by 2:30am. That was a gnarly drive.

I suppose we should discuss the next session, even though our dear Cooley could possibly have a few schedule conflicts....

February 21: Open
February 28: Open
March 7: Open

Yup.

So, we know Feb 14, March 14, and March 21 are out. I am not aware of other obligations I have starting with Feb 21. That's probably a little early for some of you, so maybe start the bidding at Feb 28...? March 7?

In the absence of other information, I'm going with Feb 28.

One said he is open, one said absolutely nothing. Given the silent one had a kid, I suspect he'll be free in June of 2024. If he does have time before then, great.

I am good for the 28th.

I will apologize in advance for my falling asleep. It will most likely happen as the little gamer is not sleeping that long at night yet...

But it will be fun and I am looking forward to it :-)
