I am fine with all of these.

The vampire bosses are also available and very hungry.

I think our sorcerer needs to research a spell of Instant Dentistry. Will save or lose your incisors.

The 15th is definitely out for me. Should be available the other two days.

August 15: Available
August 22: Wedding anniversary so I am out.
August 29: Rapids game. I can make it if there is no other possibility but I would rather not. Looks like it might be our only option.

It figures that, with posts within an hour of each other, we get a permutation such as this:

Yes | No
No | Yes
No | Yes

Well, I spoke a little too soon. It turns out I'm going to a wedding on the 22nd. Doesn't matter anyway, but for some reason I thought this particular wedding was on a Friday, not Saturday.

You guys can work it out. I don't have any other obligations until Sept 12 and 13.

I am out of town in the 15th.

Good for the 22nd.

A solid wavering maybe for the 29th. There is a good chance I will be moving my department that whole weekend :-) :-(

Let me know what happens with the 29th. Otherwise it's Labor day weekend (though the odds of everyone being around is slim) or... like... Sept 19th.

Sorry guys, work has been all over the place this week.

I can say now with 99.9786563% certainty that we will be moving on August 22nd, so I am good for the 29th.

I think that labor day would work as well for a gaming day. We'd have to start early, and grill and drink beer. Actually, that sounds fantastic...

I could do labor day if that becomes a thing. I'm still good for 29th and should be in town for the 22nd, though it does depend on teh airlinez.

So it looks like we can do the 29th, though Sweetcheeks misses a game. IF everyone is good for Sept 5th, would that be preferred? I don't know about having party first. I mean, I don't mind grilling lunch or something, but I don't want to invite other people over and then have them leave. They won't go. Gaming just won't happen.

I don't mind slipping one week for soccer. After that, though, it's a few more weeks. The first question is if everyone will be available. The second is whether that's preferred.

I guess I don't care one way or the other whether we do the 29th or Labor Day weekend. If it's the latter, do we do Saturday night or Sunday night?

I would shoot for Saturday because then Sunday night feels like a bonus feat.

OK let's do the 29th. With the way the Rapids have been playing lately it will save me some heartache to be around you fine gentleman.

The Red Labial is def best, but don't sell "Heimekem" or "McDnoalds" short. For visual effect, the iPear is amazing.

Again, I am very sorry. I saw that on weekend N I was going to a wedding. On weekend N+1 Sweetcheeks was going to soccer. Gaming was weekend N+2. When I set August 29, I assume my thoughts went something like this... "Ok, so that's wedding on the 22nd, the soccer game on August 29... let's see when Labor day Saturday is... ok, yeah, that's September 5. Alright, so now I'll go back to page 1 and edit the date. What was it? Oh yeah, August 29. Ok, that's set."

When I say "I'll change the date so Sweetcheeks can go to a soccer game" and then immediately follow that up by setting it exactly on the day of the aforementioned game, I would think someone could mention the confusion to me. I'm worried now you all just assume I'm a dick on purpose.

This has led to great confusion over the last few weeks for me. I knew the wedding was 2 weeks before gaming and gaming was right before Estes Park, and I think I invented a week in my head to compensate for the error. My lack of skills with arithmetic convinced me that there could really be 14 days between August 22 and August 29. I managed to schedule my post-Estes Park massage on the Saturday I'll actually be in Estes, and my careful timing of when to get allergy shots is now garbage.

OK, I'll admit to some confusion due to what's apparently just miscommunication. The last I saw Mike say was this: "OK let's do the 29th. With the way the Rapids have been playing lately it will save me some heartache to be around you fine gentleman."

That led me to believe that his statement superseded all others and that everyone was cool with the plan. I thought that Mike was OK with missing the game, and for whatever reason, I also had it in my head that somebody had a minor issue with Labor Day weekend.

That's for when you assholes complain about shit you think is unfair.

"Whhhaa! I don't understand why standing directly behind a horse and attempting to take cover would offer some bonus, but that standing 15 feet behind the horse and fighting another dude would not! Whhaa!"

Yeah, well now the horse is raping your character. And your character likes it. No save.

Hey guys. I have good news and bad news.

Good news, I will be at Marks on Saturday to roll dice and most likely get killed and work up a new character.

Bad news, I will be late.

I have to work this Saturday, so I'll be there around 6:00 or so.

I'll e-mail the character, so don't worry about waiting for me...

Those were a fun read. Made me think back to all of the ridiculous situations we had playing as teenagers.

Hm. I didn't realize that being able to make it was on the table. I think it's like taking your kid to the dentist and the dentist comes out to say "Well, I have good news and bad news." You're expecting maybe he has cavities but won't need braces, and instead the dentist says, "The good news is we think he'll make it. The bad news is he may never walk again." Wait, what?

Anyway, the most important thing is to make sure you marked off how many spells at each level you have remaining. We won't rush to get started, so hopefully you can be present for when you guys vote whether to roll new characters or just play as vampires.

I played when I was in middle school a little bit. We didn't know what we were doing, and I really remember pretty much none of it except the one guy who wanted to DM for a little bit and it became obvious he was making up a dungeon as we went through it. That did not last longer than a few hours.

There are a few quirky things that came up in college, but none of it was bad. Baldy, as you know, is a great DM. He did pick the weird comic book store guy and his dumbass girlfriend to join us, but I can forgive that.

Well, and he did make his girlfriend a princess, but that didn't come up until we were pretty much gods.

The guy who got Scott and I into D&D was really weird. He was a friend of Scott's. We started with the basic red D&D books...I'm sure you remember them. This guy had a similar tactic for rules and such. I remember one time our characters were out exploring the wilderness, and he was thumbing through a Dragon magazine for ideas. He suddenly announced "You.....fight.....THIS!!!!!", and turned around the magazine so we could see what he was looking at. It was a picture of a Valkyrie-type lady riding a silver dragon. That didn't end well.

This guy also made his own "wand" that he brought to gaming sessions, which was a stick with little cheap gem-looking rocks glued to it. He also got mad one session for a reason I can't remember, and ran out of our house into the woods to pout. Scott and I just let him go, and played something on the NES instead.

So Amazon has announced $50 7" tablets. They even sell them in 6 packs for $250.

I feel like there has to be a way to make use of this.

Ok, Sweetcheeks said Oct 3 is good, and Par said he is good as well. I never hear from Cooley until I announce a date, so I'm going to go for Oct 3.
