The one about the measurement ruler
The measurement ruler appears to be based on settings I don't want to change on behalf of the measurement ruler (they'll dork up other things I think). We have two workarounds: 1- Instead of Tokens -> Measure Distance (meaning the left column menu is selected with the person-shaped token icon and the right column menu is the measuring stick), use Measurement Controls -> Ray Template (meaning the left column menu is selected with the L square ruler icon beneath the person-shaped icon, and the right column menu is selected with the up-and-down arrow icon that represents the ray template). This creates a persistent line aoe that is easy to resolve detalis from. 2- Instead of left clicking the origin and dragging the tool to the destination and expecting to actually read it, do this: Press Ctrl Left click the origin and release the mouse button Drag to a likely destination- as long as you hold Ctrl the measurement arrow will work Left click the destination and release. This sets a waypoint, and marks its distance. Move the cursor away from the destination. You can now read the distance without the mouse cursor humping it. You can easily zoom with mousewheel if you can't read the destination number. Panning not included. Press escape when done to clear the whole thing.
I recommend (2), it's fast, easy and works great. (1) also works.
There are other fixes that don't work. There's a module that just makes the text bigger, but it hasn't been updated for the latest version and it doesn't work. There's also a way to totally redo how scaling works on every map that I don't think I'm going to mess with. I consider (2) to be good enough and I'm closing this ticket!

The one about Mac OS Chrome not understanding how IP worksThis is almost assuredly a result of "local network privacy", a Chome-specific setting, being stuck to on. We know it has nothing to do with prismatic-spray, with Foundry, or with Zem's router. But is it an Apple problem or a Google problem? It appears to be a Google problem, because a lot of other Apple users have this issue and no one using Chrome anywhere else does. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/25 ... ortBy=rankThis has several fixes that involve a bunch of sliders and settings and things that everyone loves like that. In actuality, Sweetcheeks switched to Safari and it understood what an IP was.

The one about right click pan not working on Mac OS
This really seems like it's a Foundry issue to me because the way to generate a right click on the trackpad didn't work. This actually could be some flaw on Mac OS, but even if it is, Foundry should have some other way to handle this.
Zem found a workaround that involves playing a Konami-code on the keyboard and then the arrows work to pan. There is a module that I installed but can't test that alleges increased trackpad functionality. I'm going to assume this won't work, though we can try it. If it does work, I won't assume it will always work. The solution here is going to be to use a mouse with at least two physically distinct buttons if you're using a Mac. I'll try to have support for this in my bag, but it's not part of my normal setup.
EDIT: I was able to test the module in a limited capacity and it seems to allow two-finger panning on trackpads. Since whatever this failure mode is involves Mac OS, I don't consider this a good test yet. I have moved an extra USB-A mouse and a USB-C plus USB-A hub (with USB-C hookup) into my backpack, but who knows what will actually be in my backpack when we next game.

The one where updating the software version deletes every icon on every actor and every token I made
Solution is to store custom icons under ~/.local/share/FoundryVTT/data instead of ./Foundry/resources, as the former is preserved and the latter is deleted without warning.

The one where Nyxara couldn't move things
I think this Nyxara had the wrong modes (on the left) selected and this was user error. I couldn't reproduce this in Windows Chrome, and I didn't circle the table to see it in action. If this happens again I'll investigate and take better notes.

The one where the hotbar is missing the rollup option
EDIT: See below
We're using the newest version, which just came out and removed the hotbar rollup button. Most users aren't aware that this is an issue yet; when they are, there will probably be some noise about it (most users don't upgrade major versions; since one just came out I figured we should start with that instead of the older v12). There's macros that can hide it (not sure how to unhide it though).
One thing someone on reddit says work is Ublock Origin. This means you would first install Firefox (which you probably have) and then install Ublock Origin and then do a right click and Block Element. Please be familiar with how to unblock it, should we ever actually make use of macros, which are useful and helpy.
There are some modules that allow for transparency. The only one that works in v13 destroyed most of the buttons and put a bunch of important things slightly off screen to the left. If I spend some time fucking with that, I could probably beat it into shape, but instead I deleted it forever. All of these things change functionality for everyone, and I want the bar there normally.
OLD: Workaround: Ublock Origin in Firefox should remove this element. Just be sure to know how to unblock it. Closing ticket WONTFIX Solution: This UI has a hotbar, cope. Alternatively someone will re-add the rollup icon and I'll grab that when it happens. EDIT/NEW: Forien's UI Tweaks adds a "collapse hotbar" option. DFred's Picky UI has a menu option that lets the hotbar be totally hidden (or unhidden again through the menu"
Here's the player-facing steps: Game Settings (gear icon on right)-> Configure Settings (top button in the menu that just popped out) From here go to Forien's UI Tweaks -> Collapsable Hotbar and check it, and the hotbar's "main menu" icon will become a "collapse" button- at that point the hotbar will be collapsable to a tiny thing or expandable again at the touch of a button. If you want it totally gone you can go to Configure Settings you can go to DFred's Picky UI -> Uncheck "Enable Hotbar" which turns the hot bar totally off.
I'll leave both of these modules on for next time, and I'll possible disable one of them later if only one is being used.
