Hmmm, after a little more thought on the subject, I think this bottle shall hence forth be known as FEOUI (p."fooey"), the "Fantastic Elixir of Unending Inebriation".
"Might I have a glass of your finest FEOUI mixed with Coke, kind sir?"
Or maybe its just called a Mixed FEOUI?

Jolly good show, Master James.
I shall be looking forward to a plethora of fooeys next weekend.

This is great!
The cast there is from "The Guild", an episodic comedy that is hella popular amongst wow players. The start is Felicia Day, who is obviously the hottie featured. You never see the players dressed as their characters in the show, they are always at their keyboards talking stupid shit for most of the show.

I'm curious about any comments you might have about the campaign. What do you think of the overall picture? What about the details in each session? Any suggestions? Anyone else sad the rogue didn't kill the wizard?

I like that we are working on a detailed plot, but you have done a great job of breaking it up into pieces that we can get through in each gaming session. Though, I have to confess that it takes me about the first hour to get back up to speed on the story, and damned if I can't keep all the makes straight. But that just means that I have to take better notes.

It's very hard to remember what happened. I have the benefit of that it's very important to me where you end because it tells me how much work I have to do for the next session, but otherwise I'd forget entirely. I do try to write down the important bits in the summary, though, so maybe you can browse that a day or two before the next time we meet.

No one is sadder than the rogue about the rogue not killing the wizard.
Anyway, I really like how this campaign is turning out. I enjoyed the hell out of the first one, and this one is just more of the same. It helps that we have a killer (not literally, you pansy) DM (I'm guessing I know who the first will be to die as a result of this post), and a great bunch of guys who get along really well.
The story is an interesting one, and it's great that we have so many side quests to keep us entertained. I'll admit that I sometimes lose sight of the overall goal, but that's probably because we don't really have an overall goal defined yet. It's a little bit different from the typical RPG video game (introduce player, introduce baddie, get from point A to point Z throughout the game), but I think that's alright. We have inklings of something more sinister going on, and we continue to unravel the main threads bit by bit.
For the group as a whole, I do sometimes wish that we get past the initial BSing a little more quickly and into playing, but that's only because we don't game often, and most aren't willing to stay until the wee morning hours (or grumble when we do) to stretch things out. At least not regularly. I'll be the first to admit that hanging out and bantering with the guys once every 3 or 4 weeks is crucial to my sanity, and I appreciate gaming for reasons beyond just rolling dice. But dammit, I have women to charm, gold to pilfer, and worlds to conquer!
For the DM, I don't have much criticism (this will attempt to mitigate my previous words to the DM). I think battles are handled well, and I think we basically have the right mix of role-playing and fighting (more on that in a bit). I have been loving the new color maps of dungeons, small world areas, etc. to help us envision what we're doing.
For us players, I wish our characters would interact a little more, since we can only get so many personality types and voices out of our DM. I'm as guilty as anyone for not fostering this more, but I really do try to make sure my character behaves as closely as possible with his race, class, and alignment, and overall goals. I'll say that I'm much more into this character than I was with Aldus, even though this guy is a sissy and has the world's lowest hit point total. I mean, we each created these characters (hopefully) with lots of traits, quirks, and goals, in addition to just being more or less optimized for battle. Let's remember who each one of our characters is, and let that come out a little more during our sessions. I think Jon is starting to grasp what it means to be a priest AND chaotic neutral (which is counter-intuitive and not something we're used to), and I think that's awesome. I want lightning to be called forth from the heavens to electrify the righteous, dammit!
So, I've probably written enough words. Hopefully others will chime in before the next session. As I said, I think this is a smashing campaign, and I only wish that we were all independently wealthy and could get together every weekend to game. We'd need 4 or 5 clones of Zem to be able to pull that off, but hey.....if we were all disgustingly wealthy, we could pull off something like that.
Love, Your Friendly Neighborhood Rogue

I would definitely like to see a little more character and interaction. One thing to keep in mind is that you don't have to take a hard line on something to play your character. For example, PAR often wants to steal something. He suggests it frequently. He doesn't demand it, though, so it can be discussed and then shot down by the others. Maybe he'll get some of you to go along with it at some point.
Ultimatums on what the characters want to do will destroy the party. Suggestions and discussions will make it better. So, yeah, I agree with that one.
As for spending too much time getting started... one idea is to start even earlier. I mean, it's winter, so who gives a damn if we start at 3? It's almost dark by then in this hellhole of a state anyway. And it's usually just fine to show up a bit early and just hang out.
That's two passing grades.

I don't have much to say. I am having fun. I enjoy the company of you all. Jay=simpleton.
Starting earlier is a super cool idea.
BTW, trying to play a character with a "quiet confidence" is rather hard. Playing a female makes it interesting as well.

I am really enjoying the game and I think you are doing a terrific job Zemmy. I really do want to play my monk a bit more monk like. I have been trying to get better at it, I am also developing in my mind what he is to become and how things are affecting him. Honestly I think some of the way I am playing leads to me feel that I am not interacting. Sunny has never been out in the world before this adventure so I guess I was trying to play him a bit subdued because he might be a bit over whelmed by all of this. He has lived a bit through the game and I am going to make him more vocal. I am really enjoying the tiff between Sunny and the rouge, it really is quite fun and I liked when you guys tricked Sunny into taking the boots. I definitely think we need more stuff like that, it makes it more fun.

I think a little more interaction in character would be nice too. I guess that means that I need to figure out who my character is too.
Oh, and if we could finally have a battle during a rain storm, that would be swell. I'm just sayin'. I think though that we are all starting to get more of a sense of our characters, etc. And as far as an overall goal, it is clearly to rule the world. How we get there is just the details...
I'll do my best to review the the details of the last session before hand so I will be more ready to go. Beyond that, I like the idea of starting a little earlier too, and I might have to fall back to my old friend Mtn. Dew to keep going later. Or maybe I'll bring coffee.

Having gotten a brief taste of it, I think a world where the 5 of you are gods or even just mortal rulers would be the sort of place where any future campaigns could only focus on overthrowing the nitwits in charge.

Oooo... a good question! I know we are just about out of Zero.
Meh, show up a little early (I am done coaching at 11am) and we can lock hands and skip down to the local FEOUI mart and pick up the necessary items to satisfy the masses. Any remaining downtime will be spent watching multiple college football games.

I like the way you think, Furry One. Monson and I are getting together early to put my TBE back on my car. With any luck, we'll be done noon-ish. I'll head home, clean up, then make my way down yonder. I'll give ya a BB message or something when I start heading southward.
Yay for FEOUI!

Yeah, but this isn't any huge deal. The stock exhaust has only been on for two weeks, so no chance of rusted/stuck bolts. We got the last one done in about 2 hours, and that was counting my fuck-up with forgetting to bring spring bolts with me, and our needing to improvise.

So, I decided in John's campaign I will play a pixie sorcerer. His name is Rigby Twigman, and he has potential to be my coolest character ever. I am very excited about the story I've created for him. He is going to have a bit of PTSD and some anger issues.
The thing I realized, though, is one of the major differences between DM and player. Obviously, as DM I get my way most of the time, but at the cost of having a lot of homework. But here's another difference. When you come up with something as DM, it's like "Oh, good... I must remain quiet about this and maybe implement it in 4 gaming sessions." As a player, if I come up with something fun, I do it right away. That's way more fun.

I think this is a good idea Zemmy. It will help us make sure we have a good party. I will be playing a Wood Elf Cleric specializing in the bow. I am really excited about this one, he is going to be on a quest for his god except he doesn't know why or where he will end up, he is being given just the next step in his dreams but never an overall view of his quest. It will eventually be shown to him that he is searching for the Misty Isles (or whatever Jon comes up with in his world) He is also going to be a bit racist and upset that he has to be out among the general populace and not in his tree. I still need to come up with a name and a back story but that is the general idea for now.
Cooley, I think you should look at a druidy rogue if you haven't come up with anything yet. I think that could be really cool.
