Well, that works. We should do a Halo or Star Craft night in the 21st then...

The 21st is suddenly and unexpectedly my father's funeral, which I am currently trying to plan.
He died of a heart attack while preparing dinner on Friday. When he didn't show up to see his family on Saturday, his sister (my aunt) went looking. The water was still running- he just fell over backwards, didn't have time to even move towards a chair or phone.
He had spent some time chronicling his mother's life (my grandma, who is 90). It's ironic that she's the one to bury him. I'll try to find his works on that, plus the creative writing he had been doing on and off for the last decade.
Much of his time and effort was spend researching ways to live longer and be healthier, as his father died in his late 50s. He ate better than anyone I've ever personally met, and jogged, ran, or swam pretty much daily. His lifestyle probably netted him several years, but he was only 63- far too early.

Sorry John. I don't even know what to say. That was the last thing I was expecting to see in this thread. Our thoughts are with you.

Should we start thinking about available September days?
September 4/5 - I put down the 5th as well, because the next day is Labor Day, and I'm pretty sure most of us have off that day. I'm down for either of these days.
September 11 - I think I'm working in the morning, but it's a good day for me.
September 18 - Good for me.
Probably no need to go any further out yet, right?

4th and 5th are out.
The 11th is fine.
The 18th is probably fine.

Bueller? Will the 11th or the 18th work for everyone else who failed to respond?

The wizard is in, so I think we're good for Saturday the 18th.

Ummmm yeah I am apparently choosing my 2011 concubines on the evening of the 18th. It's good to be the sultan.
I suppose I could tell the ladies to wait til the 19th to hang with you blokes.

So my soccer club changed the time of my game from 230pm to 5pm. I will leave straight from the fields and should be able to grace you all with my presence by 7 or so. I will give my player sheet to Sweets so you all can get started on time.

Sigh. Ok.
You know, you could just tell them "Hey, soccer club, I already have a commitment and I cannot prance about the field with you." Just a thought.
Let's get together at 3.

He might have to say it in French so they can understand him, though. 3pm it is. I'll need a replacement drinking buddy for a few hours.

Tentatively planning on Saturday, October 9, pending the priest's ability to find an alternate to stand in for him at that archaic birthing ritual. I'm sure Talos will be most displeased if his champion decides to attend that in favor of destruction of an interplanar Dragon Lord.
