I sure hope my new dice bag is ready. In fact, I am pretty sure all of us will need a bigger dice bag for our next session.

There was one situation in one of my games where you were allowed to roll all dice you owned and didn't have to travel more than 2 minutes for, and add them up as damage. I don't recall the situation, I think it was a reality knot or something.

H, don't give him a reason. It will only end in tears when he is found crushed under his Scroog McDuck pile of dice.

It is said that if you are crushed by your own dice, your spirit passes into them, and you can seek vengeance against PCs everywhere!
Also I passed my stupid fucking security test that I had to study for. It's like one of those terrible bets where your odds are really super in your favor, but you gain nothing if you win, and a lot if you lose. Fuck that shit.
Update in the next few days I hope.

You're a bad influence. I did not buy a pound of dice, but I did just order 4 new sets.
Don't tell my wife.
They're so pretty!

You guys could start the most awful addiction group ever.
DA. Diceaholics Anonymous. The 12-step program could be randomly generated.

Well, I ordered a set for you as well, so you have 4 on the way.
Mike has one coming as well. Anyone want to guess what color it is?

The Yeti wrote: I'd rock a set of the pink and black dice. Oh, man, I almost ordered those for me! But my total was $50 and my wife would yell at me, so I put them back. Ok, I'm not good at keeping surprises. They're all the same but different colors. For YetikinsFor SweetcheeksFor moiI debated these for the friendly photographer, but... they didn't say "steampunk" to me as much as they said "hard to read." Nothing terribly exciting, and I feel like I'm cheating on Chessex, but I wanted to try something different. Maybe they will feel cheap and crappy. I guess we'll see. There are many color combinations if they're nice.

Really I feel like the focus should be on Cooley. He does have a nice collection going, but the bag is unacceptable!
And thanks! They look fantastic!

I'm not sure Cooley respects the dice gods any more than Par does.

Yeah.... that was freaky as shit. Also, the blue thing for you is showing... errr... wrong. Like, it suddenly changed the picture to something with a biohazard thing on it, whereas before it looked just like the other carved elvish thingies.

Damnit. You see, the problem is that I've only got two full sets of dice and no markers so we've resorted to using dice, bent beer-bottle caps, dimes, 100 won pieces, 500 won pieces, and sundry other knickknacks for character representation during gaming. This is clearly unacceptable and the only realistic solution is to order more dice... off to Amazon.

So, what I did years ago for gaming and such, was to make a hex grid in some program on the computer- anything that is vector based will work easily, but so will pixels if you make it big enough. You make a TON of hexes, and you make them little. Then, you go down to Kinko's (currently some Fedex subsidiary), and you have them print it at a size that fits your table. You set it up such that each hex (or you could use squares) fits about maybe a quarter or sixth of an inch. Then, you just use markers from Wal*Mart, like colored sequins, or little buttons or letters and numbers that you might use to make a bead necklace, if you were 8, and also a girl.
Anyway, this big, half table sized map? You have them laminate it. Now, it is covered in plastic, and it denotes five foot spaces, and it denotes a SHIT FUCK LOT of them. The total cost for this whole deal is way less than fifty bucks, and you have something able to do far more than all the expensive things with their one inch square things- yours is MIGHTY, because it can do a battlefield. Braveheart scene? NO PROBLEM. If you have multiples you can draw them out ahead of time. Use wet erase markers (not dry erase), and the whole thing can be cleaned easily.
But yea, if you are using the 1 inch squares, I normally run around as a silver d8 set to 7.
