This will be short.

Livid cleverly scouted the walls of the keep to find good places to climb the wall. Collectively, they realized that skeletons without eyes probably don't rely entirely on natural sight, so while an sneaky move in the dark may be optimal against other humans, perhaps daylight would be the better call here. Skeletons, seemingly amazed at their own existence, were not particularly attentive to their watch duties, but the shining beacon of hope and faith, glistening in the morning sunlight, did manage to catch their attention. After dispatching the two skeletons, a difficult task from a distance, the party climbed the wall and stepped into a wretched place.

Investigating the grounds, the party found a total of three buildings and a well. The stables appeared empty, but there was activity in the smithy. A skeleton was hammering away on an anvil with a cold forge while a shorter skeleton pumped the bellows. The bellows were broken, so not much was accomplished. The smith skeleton offered to sharpen a sword on a grindstone, and it went smoothly through the motions, but the wheel was not connected to the pedals. This did not seem to bother the smith in any way.

Making their way into the main keep, the party moved immediately to the second floor and began searching. They found evidence that a fire had done significant damage to the keep. The undead did not seem upset by the fire. Ultimately, the party explored the private rooms of the master of the keep, a sort of chamberlain's study, and the armory. Centipedes had made a home of the bedroom, and the undead were looking for weapons in the armory. Two things were uncovered in the armory. First, a sword from the time of the Borden Empire. Second, the party really likes to fuck over Renee. After spending the night in the armory as unknown terrors patrolled the halls outside, the party moved onto a bedroom for a high ranking general who was, at the time, offering a duel salute to the skeleton in the mirror. A shrine to Maeles, the god of war, was also discovered on the second floor.

TO BE CONTINUED...

Where will the party go next? What will they find? How will they get Renee killed this time? FIND OUT ON SATURDAY!

To be fair, this is slightly more accurate. I mean, at least in the instance of the bugbear sammich.

Owlbear.

The "You open the door and we'll rush in" followed by "Do I have a shot to the skeleton from the hallway?" overrides any owlbear reference.

"We'll rush in" sort of meant the paladin.

It is known.

And seriously, if I moved forward I would have faced three to five attacks immediately. Unlike Rene's much more defensible position, I would have been flanked twice over.

Plus, these arrows are totally good against skeletons.
